Lougenia (Lou) Faw Goodman, 69, of China Grove passed away on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at CMC-Northeast. Mrs. Goodman was born on March 27, 1947 in Iredell County to Ernest McKinley Faw and the late Annie Mae Sells Faw.
Lou was a graduate of South Rowan High School and was employed as a Data Manager for 27 years at both West Rowan and South Rowan. She was a member of Truth Temple Church in Kannapolis. Lou enjoyed vacationing to the mountains and beach. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, Steve Goodman, daughter, Crystal Sifford (Randall) of China Grove, son, Todd Goodman (Pam) of Rock Hill, SC, brother, Ernie Faw Jr. (Karen) of Landis, and a sister, Pamela Creed (Patrick) of Annapolis, MD. Lou is also survived by her grandchildren, Hannah and Kolby Fisher, Kinslea and Sawyer Sifford, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at City Revival Church (formerly Truth Temple), 2705 Moose Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28083 (located at the corner of China Grove Rd. and Moose Rd). The service will be conducted by her uncle, Dr. Garland Faw, her brother-in-law, Patrick Creed, Jr., and Rev. Zack Sizemore. The family will receive friends from 12 noon til 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Lou was a good friend as we worked together, first at West Rowan then later at South. I know she loved her family and her Lord and has gone on to her reward.
