Born July 13, 1957 in Cabarrus county, NC, Marie lived life to the fullest. In her early years, she learned to love the outdoors, hunting and fishing with her dad. She was a true country girl with a little class.

Marie and Jerry spent a wonderful 38 years together. They traveled all over in their camper with their dog, Daisy. She was an excellent fisherman and could out fish anyone. Marie was also an excellent cook and could make anything delicious. She also had a very artistic side, always making things for her family and friends. She always put everyone else first in her life. Her most proud moments were those spent with her family and friends, some would say she was the life of the party.

Marie was such a sweet friend and classmate. Always happy and smiling. I sat at the table with her and Jerry at our class of 75 reunion 3 years ago and got to visit and talk to them.
I was in Brownie scouts with Marie back in 1963 and 1964. We all use to have the best time.
My prayers go out to Jerry and all the family. May our Lord touch all of you and comfort you and bring you peace.

Marie was a True Southern Lady with the Compassion of A Saint. She Loved Our Lord and her Husband Jerry and All Family, Friends, with Her Heart. When Son Darren, married Crystal, Oh what a Delight she was to us. She had the ability to organize fishing trips or fish frys, a Chef, for preparing delicious family gatherings. Bible says, absent from the Body present with the Lord. So we know Marie, is Happy watching us from above. Thank You Marie for being such a role model for us to try to achieve, God first. Love You.
