Marshall Franklin Crouch Jr., 92, of Mooresville, affectionately known as “Sonny”, passed away peacefully with his loving children by his side on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Marshall was born on May 14, 1934 to the late Marshall Franklin Crouch, Sr. and Margaret Westmoreland Crouch.
Marshall’s early years were spent working with his father in the Taxi business, working on cars and driving them. This allowed Marshall to make connections to all facets of the Mooresville community. Marshall cultivated these early connections and broadened his community involvement throughout his life. He helped many people and touched many lives.
Marshall was President of Crouch Brothers House Moving Contractors, Inc. He helped found the NC Housemoving Association and was a long-standing member of the International Association of Structural Movers. Marshall took great pride in Crouch Brothers knowledge and reputation for excellence in their field. Marshall’s humble nature meant that his successes and celebrations were always shared or directed to his employees. Marshall was recognized in the community for supporting, training, and developing young people and those in need.
Marshall’s faith was always important to him as he grew up in the First Baptist Church of Mooresville then became a member of the First Presbyterian Church once he married the love of his life, Rosalie Moore Crouch, who predeceased him.
Throughout his life, he was known for his integrity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and friend, Marshall touched countless lives with his jokes, generosity, and guidance.
He is survived by his loving children, Kim Crouch Kenyon (Bill), Kelli Crouch McGuffey (Roger), Kathryn Crouch Donelson (Myron Werner), Marshall Franklin Crouch, III; grandchildren, Trey Kenyon (partner Kayla Ryan), Kyle Kenyon (Kimberly), Mariah Newton (Kody), Kayla McGuffey (fiancée Savannah Shelton), Jennifer McGuffey Johnson (Dennis), John Donelson, Grace Donelson, Carlie Crouch, Courtney Crouch; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Ellie, Cora, Adrianna, Devin (Sydney); great-great-grandchildren, Kyson, Coralee, Oliver, and Leo.
Marshall’s greatest joy was his family. He treasured holidays, celebrations, and quiet moments shared with those he loved. His steady guidance, warm smile, and compassionate heart created cherished memories that will endure for generations. He will be remembered as a man of honor, humility, faith, and kindness whose life was a blessing to many.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026 at First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
