Marshall Richard Parker, 75 of Salisbury, NC passed away on April 20, 2026 at his home from Parkinsons Disease.
Marshall Parker was born on February, 27, 1951 and raised in rural Roane County in West Virginia. He attended Walton Elementary School and Walton High School. At home, he helped his father and five brothers with vegetable gardening and other chores on the farm.
Marshall wore many hats and served in various ways. His many jobs included working at a grocery store, driving an ambulance, and serving as a funeral home assistant. He also worked as a food truck driver, in restaurants, in motel management, and as an electronic technician at Revco. For many years, he was “The Handyman to Turn To.”
Marshall was a great cook. His biscuits won top honors at the Dixie Classic Fair. He also had award-winning salsa, made with ingredients grown in his home garden.
Marshall greatly cared for his family all his life, including his mother and invalid brother. His hobbies mainly consisted of helping people. Marshall and his wife Pattie founded and ran a nonprofit, Blessing Network, which helped many people in the community.
Marshall loved Jesus. His faith was the most important part of his life and it kept him involved wherever he went. He even helped build, logging many hours in constructing and maintaining, a church that served 2,000 people. Here he began a food ministry meeting the physical needs of the community. One of his favorite ways to serve was driving the handicap bus. He also enjoyed singing in the choir and serving the various music pastors.
Marshall was famous for his humor and made an impact on every person he met. He left them with a smile, a joke, and “I’m so glad you got to see me.” He’ll be greatly missed by friends and family who will always be thankful to have known and loved him.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruby Parker; brothers, Terry and Greg; and nephew, Nathan Marshall.

Sharon and I met Marshall and Pattie many years ago at First Assembly in WS. No one who met Marshall didn’t enjoy his friendship and humor! He was also an inspiration for serving the Lord and did so in many ways. We were saddened to learn of his health struggles that impacted his life before going to be with the Lord. We’re thankful he’s with the Lord now and healed!!!! We do not grieve as those that are without hope and know we will see Marshall again. One day…a great reunion. Our prayers for comfort are extended to Pattie and the kids, grandkids and family. God bless!

As Dad would say: “See you there or in the air”. Love you, Dad.

He made every morning in the choir roberoom a moment of refreshing, whether by demonstrating care for those newbies, a little cautious about singing to such a massive audience, with music books forbidden, or offering unsolicited humor, his anointing, yet always deeply embedded with the love of God.
