Mary Ann Doby, 78, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her residence.
She was born August 1, 1940 in Rowan County, NC to the late Willie Doby and Lenora “Nora B” Miller Doby. She graduated from Rockwell High School and worked as a security guard. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening, visiting the beach, but most of all she enjoyed riding her lawn mower. She was a lifelong member of Luther’s Lutheran Church in Richfield, and a member of the Red Hat Society.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Willie L. Doby Jr.
Mary is survived by her children, Barbara Clawson, Noodle Gallimore Jr. (Valerie), Ricky D. Gallimore (Angie), all of Salisbury; grandchildren, Dreama Shuping, James M. Gallimore (Samantha), Michael Kiser (Sara), and Andrea Kiser; great-grandchildren, Boe, Riley, Kinzlee, and Jayden; and sister, Bessie Lee Frick of Salisbury.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Friday, January 11th, 2019 from 1-1:45pm at Luther’s Lutheran Church, 4955 Richfield Rd. Richfield, NC 28137, with a memorial service following the visitation beginning at 2pm.
If you choose to send flowers, please send them to Luther’s Lutheran Church, 4955 Richfield Rd. Richfield, NC 28137, on Friday, January 11th, 2019 between the hours of 9am-1pm.
