Mary Foreman Hutchinson, 81, of Pleasant Garden, NC passed away on Thursday February 15, 2018 at the Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro surrounded by family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary was born on April 6, 1936 in Rowan County, NC to the late William R. Foreman and Edna Isabel Norman Foreman.

Mary received her Associates Degree in Business from Kings College in Charlotte, NC. Her career included working for Rowan County Social Services; Klopman Mills in Asheboro; Iredell County NC Division of Motor Vehicles/Highway Patrol; Guilford County Employment Security Commission, and she retired with 28+ years of service from Norfolk-Southern Railway in Greensboro, NC.

Mary loved the North Carolina coast. She enjoyed fishing, swimming in the ocean, walking on the beach, and visiting the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium with her children and grandchildren. She loved flowers and she could root and grow anything. Mary and her husband, Andrew (A J) were avid collectors and spent their days traveling to many collectible stores to find their treasures. She especially loved dolls, and it was a joy for her to find an antique doll and restore it to its original condition.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia H. Butler.

Mary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Andrew J. Hutchinson, Sr.; daughter, Andrea Hutchinson Turner; son, Andrew J. Hutchinson, Jr. (Lisa); grandchildren, Alexander W. Turner, Hayley R. Turner, and Caroline B. Lynch (Victor), and great-grandson, Carson Lynch.

A Celebration of Life will be held at College Park Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC on Saturday, February 24 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive family and friends at the church immediately following the service.
