Mary Louise Neville, 73, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Novant Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC. She was born on September 30, 1947 in Cortland County, NY to the late Robert Neville and Calista Tobin Neville.
Mary was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1965. She received her Associates Degree in Human Services from Tompkins Cortland Community College and worked as a Social Welfare Examiner for Cortland County, NY.
She enjoyed bowling, softball, and machine bowling. She was a former member of Cortland City Youth Bureau Advisory Board, Cortland City Public Safety Commission, Girl Scout Leader, and Catholic Daughters. She was a member of St. Mary’s Alumni Association, as well.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Burnham.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Marie Heim of Salisbury, and Staci M. Cutich and husband Terry of Salisbury; and her beloved grandson Owen Cutich; a brother, James F. Neville (MaryEllen); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 17 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cortland, NY. Internment will happen directly after at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will hold a wake at the St. Charles Hotel on Central Ave. after internment.

oh, so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing!!! She made my days at Cortland DSS when almost every morning I heard her voice in hallway saying “Mornin, Mornin, Mornin, Little Darlin!” It always made me smile! Prayers to all her family, I know she will be greatly missed.
