This one goes out to a man whom I looked up to during the dark times of my life and he gave me words of wisdom in tough situations like what to do in times of a break up and a broken-heart which was just simply pray to the true king of kings and the one who loves us regardless of what sin we have committed Jesus still loves us no matter what. Yeah he was/is a 100 percent die hard UNC Tarheel fan but I always put that aside because our relationship was more than just which team is better Duke or UNC… I’m glad your not suffering from any pain or taking anymore treatments and I’m glad your Restless and finally HOME!! Love you bunches Mike MrTarheel Eagle

Grampa, I rest easy knowing your soul eternally rests in the hands of God. The pain is gone, the treatments are gone. There is no harm nor evil within your life anymore, you have been set free. My dad is right, you now have the best seats in the universe to watch the Tarheel Games, and I know you’re still shouting at the referees! Nevertheless, your presence will not be forgotten within our family. We will still always love, and cherish the person you were. I’ll miss you Grampa, I love you. You’re one of the strongest people I have come to know in my 20 years of life, I will never forget that ????.

Mike was always there for me. He was so caring and uplifting. I always looked for his inspirational posts. I miss them. I miss him. I loved talking with him in Messenger. He was the bravest person I know and never complained. His faith in the Lord strengthened mine. I will always be indebted to him. He’s now with the Lord. He’s been rewarded for being a faithful servant. God has received a person that changed my world with his faith and encouragement. The world was a better place because he was in it. Rest in eternal peace and love my friend. You will always be remembered. My condolences for his family’s loss of such a treasure.

The last things that he shared on Facebook with myself and other friends was that he wanted us to remember him and that he was praying for us.
Well, Mike, myself and others will NEVER forget you! We will never forget your amazing belief and faith in God, your courage, you posting verses that inspired myself and SO many others, your kindness and thoughtfulness towards others; even as your were approaching your final journey! Myself and others will miss you, and NEVER forget you!
I KNOW that when you reached heaven, that God turned around and said,
“ Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
:- Matt 25:23
Well done good and faithful servant! You have gone before us Mike. You are finally home!
When I heard of Mikes passing, I immediately thought of this song by our favourite band Switchfoot:-
