In Loving Memory of Mikki Lynn Rosicka Hogan
Date of Birth: December 30, 1951, Date of Passing: January 24, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mikki Lynn Hogan, adored wife, beloved sister, and cherished friend. She left us on January 24, 2025, after a life well-lived, surrounded by the love and warmth of those who held her dear.
Mikki Lynn Hogan was born on December 30, 1951, in Washington Court House, Ohio. She was a precocious and funny child who delighted everyone from her earliest days. She spent her early years in Springfield, Ohio, before the family moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL, where she was a 1970 graduate of Choctawhatchee High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology with a minor in Psychology from Florida State University in December of 1973. Not long after graduation, she married Robert Hogan, whom she met while in college, and was a loving and devoted wife for over 50 years, a testament to a deep and enduring bond that weathered all of life’s seasons.
Throughout her life, Mikki touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and infectious laugh. She had a wicked sense of humor but a kind and thoughtful heart. Although she and Robert had no children, she embraced life with a nurturing soul, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that extended far beyond her immediate family.
She will be remembered for her many passions, including raising and training dogs, gardening, and helping women through counseling/teaching. She loved to read and was known to extensively research any topic she found interesting. Mikki had a way of making everyone feel valued, and her presence is already profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; sisters, Barbara Idone and Carrie (Dan) Edelson; brothers, Donnie (Nancy) Rosicka, Matt (Kim) Rosicka; sister-in-law Linda (Perry) Saunders, many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends who cherished her dearly. Mikki is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Catherine Rosicka, and brother-in-law, John Idone.
In keeping with her wishes, a private service was held February 22, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to local humane society, a cause close to her heart.
We invite those who knew and loved Mikki to share their memories and celebrate her life by remembering the joy and warmth she brought into the world.

Thank you, Bob, for inviting me to Mikki’s celebration of life. It gave me an opportunity to put names to faces and meet Mikki’s wonderful family and friends. I, of course, think of her daily, and want to text or call her with something, either funny or frustrating, as we often did. We always joked that we had to remain friends, since we both knew where the bodies were buried. I will greatly miss my friend and confidant of the past 20 years.

What a wonderful tribute! The story of her life is beautiful – just perfect for her. Thank you for sharing much data that some of us didn’t even know – a joy to read, as she was a joy to know. You two were blessed to find each other, and I will be forever sad for you.
