Milton E. Harner went to be with his Lord on December 2, 2011; he is now dancing with the angels. Milton was born on May 1, 1920 in Littlestown, P.A., son of the late Curtis and Marie Long Harner. He is a 1938 graduate of Littlestown High School where he won the Alumni of the Year Award in 2008, he also attended Thompson Business College in York, P.A. Milt is a Veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII; he was wounded on November 3, 1944 near the German border. Milt worked for I. H. Crouse and Sons for over 30 years as a bookkeeper; he was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Milton was the last surviving member of his family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sisters, Helen, Lillian, Evelyn and Eva. And brothers, Warren, James, Paul and Dennis.
Survivors: Milton was a very devoted husband to his wife of 70 years and 9 months, Mrs. Anna Byers Hess Harner, of Salisbury. He is also survived by his daughters, Patricia Ann Little, of Linwood, and Dorothy Stevens of San Ramon, C.A.. 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 4 great granddaughters, 1 great grandson, and 3 nieces.
Because of his many complications, Milton’s body will be cremated by Carolina Cremation of Salisbury, N.C. There will be no memorial service due to Milts wishes.
