Mitzi Taylor Tipton peacefully went home to be with her Lord and savior on April 8th, 2026.
Mitzi was born Janaury 8, 1960 in Charlotte, NC to Fred and Nancy Taylor. She attended West Charlotte High School and Central Church in Charlotte, NC
She was known as wonderful woman of faith, patience, and kindness. As she battled illness these traits shined ever brighter and was a light to all around her.
She is joined in death by her husband Chip Tipton, who passed in 2016.
She is survived by her children Seth, Ethan, and Myrti (Adam Moore); along with her parents Fred and Nancy Taylor, of Charlotte.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 11:00am, Life Church of Charlotte, 301 Elmhurst Rd. Charlotte, NC 28209 with a reception for friends and family to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Special Olympics of North Carolina are encouraged. Give – SONC

I knew Mitzi from her husband working for Twc. Mitzi also came to a dinner. Twc meets every third Thursday of month. Her son always came with her. He loves the panthers. Mitzi always had a smile. Blessing to the family
