Mr. David Eric Talbert, 72 of Salisbury passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Mr. Talbert was born on September 13, 1941 in Washington, D.C., son of the late Corum Eugene Talbert and Mary Shuler Talbert.

Mr. Talbert attended Boyden High School and was also a graduate of Rowan Cabaruss Community College where he majored in Air Conditioning Repair. Mr. Talbert was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Conductor / Brakeman. He was a Veteran of the US Army and the US Air Force. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Betty Talbert Brock.

Mr. Talbert is survived by his wife, Judy Weatherford Talbert of Salisbury, son, William Talbert and wife Crystal of Salisbury, daughters, Ann Barbee and husband Nelson of Salisbury and Judy Simmons and husband Mike of Salisbury and 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
