Mr. Michael Dennis “Mike” Becker, 67, of Concord passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House. Mike was born on March 17, 1945 in Gloversville, NY a son of Shirley Becker of Gloversville and the late Charles N. Becker.
Mike was educated at Gloversville High School and was a Veteran having served in the US Navy. After leaving the Navy he worked as a Facilities Maintenance Manager with IBM, a Safety Manager with Fluor Daniels Construction Company where he retired. After a short retirement Mike worked for Lowes. Mike loved automobiles and had a large collection of model cars.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Estep Becker who he married on February 1, 1966, daughters, Denise Becker Reynolds and husband, Mark, of Rock Hill, SC, Jennifer Becker Saxon and husband, Kenneth, of Salisbury, NC; brothers, Daniel Becker of Union, Michigan, David Becker of Gloversville, NY, Jerry Becker of Kingsport, TN, and Jonathan Becker of Gloversville, NY, sister, Henie Hanna of Florida; Grandchildren, Leah and Alison Reynolds of Rock Hill, SC and Joshua and Jacob Saxon 0f Salisbury, NC.
Visitation: A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Powles Funeral Home in Rockwell.
Services: A Grave side service will be held at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Maryland at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, 9899 Main Street, Suite 204, Damascus, MD 20872 or to Hospice and Pallative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

So sorry to hear about Mike. Do not take paper, and did not know he passed. If I had of known he had been sick I would have been to see him. Mike was a great guy and I enjoyed working with him, and sharinging his friendship.
