Roy C. Troutman of China Grove passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Troutman was born on May 16, 1937 in Rowan County a son of Roy T. Troutman and Carrie Mae Eddleman Troutman.

Mr. Troutman was a 1955 graduate of Landis High School, he also attended Catawba College, Lenior Rhyne College, and Rowan Tech. He worked as an electrical electronic technician for 12 years at Fiber Industries and retired May of 1998 from Reynolds Metals after 20 years. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was of the Christian faith, enjoyed reading and being with his family.

Survivors; His wife Peggy Faggart Troutman who he married on May 30,1959; 3 sons Dennis Wayne Troutman and wife, Lisa, of China Grove, Dean Lynn Troutman of Rockwell, Randy Lee Troutman and wife Terri, of China Grove, Daughter Kelly Troutman Story and husband Greg Story of China Grove. Eight grandchildren, Alan Troutman, Whitney Troutman, Christopher Troutman, Anna Troutman, Cody Troutman, Jesse Troutman, Matt Story, and Karissa Story.

A memorial Service will be conducted at 2 P.M Tuesday, August 9,2011, at West Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum by Rev. David Troutman.
