Mrs. Louise Morgan Lesley, 84 of Salisbury, NC passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at The Lutheran Home Trinity Oaks, Salisbury. Louise was born Nov. 29, 1929 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Roy Thomas Morgan and Myrtle Rummage Morgan Ketchie.
Louise was a 1948 graduate of Boyden High School, Salisbury, a member of Southside Baptist Church and attended St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Salisbury in her earlier years. She had worked for McCanless Custom Fabrics as a seamstress. Louise was a past member of the Women of the Moose, she loved to travel, work in her garden, Crocheting and collect antique glass.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Morgan and a granddaughter, Amanda D. Lesley.
Survivors; husband, Robert Clinton Lesley, Jr. who she married on Feb. 11, 1950, sons, Melvin D. Lesley of Gold Hill, James Alan Lesley of Salisbury and Kenneth W. Lesley and wife, Karen of Gold Hill and five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation: 1:00 to 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2070 Emanuel Church Rd. Rockwell.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheeks, pastor.
