If COVID has rearranged your travel plans for the millionth time, take a page out of Nancy’s book. Nancy
Gail Waggamon (Stafford), from Salisbury, NC, passed away Friday, July 30th, after losing a short battle with cancer. Nancy’s life and experiences have taught her family and friends many lessons throughout her 62 years:
A good book can transport you many places. Nancy lived many lives and traveled to a multitude of
places, real and imagined, through countless hours of reading.

You don’t have to be the best at something to enjoy it. Nancy loved going to the golf course with her
husband and friends, even if a few balls were lost along the way.

Calm seas don’t make for a good captain, but they’re great for skiing. On sunny days, Nancy could be
found skiing, tubing, or swimming at the lake with her family and friends.

If you can’t find the perfect fit, make it. Nancy was a skilled seamstress, from wedding dresses to
upholstery; she enjoyed creating something beautiful for herself and loved ones.

Don’t allow perceived “norms” to restrict your vision for the future. Nancy graduated from Akron
University in 1985 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electronic Technology. Norms being non-technical
studies, she with few other women breached the norm and studied a technical field. This led to a career
in local prominent companies such as “Goodyear Aerospace”, Loral Systems, and Diebold.

Most importantly, life’s greatest treasure is the people you surround yourself with. Nancy loved spending
time with family and friends, whether it was a last minute drinks in the drive with the “hood”, another
murder mystery party with old friends, or dinner with her family.

Such a great person. I really enjoyed the time I worked with her. Also enjoyed getting to know her outside of work.
My condolences to Dennis, Kirsten, and Amanda.
Paul Indre says
When I first started at Diebold Nancy greatly assisted in my training. She was super smart, detail oriented, professional through and through. 50 percent of the time was thorough training. The other half, she bragged up her daughters as she was so proud of them. Such a lovely person. She will be greatly missed.
Linda Harris says
I worked with Nancy at Diebold and found her to be an inspiring women mentor.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.
Greg Miller says
Like Mike, Paul, and Linda stated above, Nancy was a joy to work with and gone from this world too young. To her family: so sorry for your loss. Looking forward to seeing her again one day.

There are no words. Many great memories of children, house boat trips, cookouts, dinners and general all around fun.
Brenda Vance says
Nancy, you are forever in my heart and mind and soul…you were always loved by everyone and when you walked in a room your smile would light up and everyone saw it… I’m sure you are smiling in heaven now, laughing with Mom and Dad and giggling with all the Aunts and Uncles and all your friends….Send me a sign from time to time, so I can giggle too… I love you! My heart is broken for now, until I see you again. One of your favorite sisters…Brenda
