Nancy Jane Privette, 74, of Salisbury passed away on Saturday November 1, 2014 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Ms. Privette was born on April 1, 1940 in Akron, OH to the late Otis Ray Colbert and Geraldine Jefferies Colbert.

Nancy worked in the Healthcare industry and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Monroe, NC. She loved spending time with her family and her cats. Nancy was an avid reader, and enjoyed listening to music from the 1940’s and 1950’s.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Franklin Privette.

Nancy is survived by three sons, Bob MacGoun and wife Rebecca of Monroe, Brad Allen Privette and wife April of Salisbury, and Barry John Privette of Great Bend, Ontario; one daughter, Beth Ann McDougal of Boston, MA; nine grandchildren, Monica MacGoun, Elisa MacGoun, Colum MacGoun, Asia Privette, Marley Privette, Kimberly Privette, Kelsey Privette, Annelise Gardner, and Samantha Gardner; and two great grandchildren, Eden MacGoun and Grace Lynn MacGoun.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
