Nathaniel Milton Morris, Jr., age 53, passed on December. 21, 2024, at the Hospice of Davidson County. Born in Salisbury, North Carolina on April 24, 1971, he was the son of Nathaniel Milton Morris, Sr and the late Mary Ann (Brown) Nimley.
Nathaniel was educated in the Rowan County School System. In 1979, he lived in Houston, Texas and attended Alief Middle School. Nathaniel continued his education and attended Salisbury High School. Upon graduation, Nathaniel continued his education at Livingstone College. He was employed at Draftex in Salisbury, North Carolina and also Safeway in Prince Georges County Maryland. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and going to the beach were a few of his favorite things along with watching movies.
Nathaniel was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Brown Nimley; and his grandparents, Price Brown Sr. and Sallie Ann (Bullock) Brown and Jessie Woods; uncles, James Edward Brown, Richard Morris and Roosevelt Propst; aunts, Mary Barber, and Peggy Brooker.
Left to mourn and to celebrate his life is his son Nathaniel Milton Morris III and the dear mother of his son Rachel Curry Jones. Joining them in remembrance are a brother Maurice Brown (Lisa), Greenbelt, Maryland; sisters, Shamone Morris and Michelle Morris; uncles, Price Brown, Jr (Costella), Larry Propst, Garry Propst, Salisbury, Guy Propst and Jerry Propst, Statesville; aunts, Shirley Godsey (William), Cheverly, Maryland and Betty Jo Brown, Spencer, Hazel Jenkins, Charlotte and Vivian Thompson Davis (Harold), Columbia, South Carolina. Nathaniel has cousins, Vincent Brown (Rashae), Jamestown, North Carolina and Thaddeus Brown (Teresa) Lumberton, North Carolina. He is also survived by a host of loving relatives and countless friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th , at 1:00 pm Trinity Presbyterian Church, 300 South Caldwell Street, Salisbury, North Carolina.
