Olin C. Richardson, 60, of Linwood, NC passed away on May 28, 2014 at his residence surrounded by family. Mr. Richardson was born October 15, 1953 to the late Mr. Matthew Drew Richardson and the late Mrs. Helen Cope White.
Olin worked as a Pipe Fitter for Indicor and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Linwood and was involved in the Men’s Baptist group. He enjoyed deer hunting, coastal fishing, working outdoors, and his blue truck. He loved spending time with his family and two dogs Chelsea Marie and Maggie May, and especially loved being pawpaw frog legs to his lil buddy, Logan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Richardson, and a brother, Norman Haskins.
Olin is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Teresa Ann Richardson of Linwood; two sons, Coleman Alexander Brown III and wife Leslie of Star, NC, and Joseph Manuel Brown and wife Sylvia of Asheboro, NC; a daughter, Emily Brown and husband Matthew of Lexington, NC; two sisters, Gaynelle Lowery and husband Don of Wilmington, NC, and Debby Richardson of Butner, NC; a brother, Pete Cope and wife Kathy of Lexington, NC; and grandchildren, Logan Alexander Smith, P.J, and one grandson on the way, Foster C. Daniel Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday June 1, 2014 at 3:30 PM at Lakeview Baptist Church (341 Lakeview Church Rd., Linwood NC, 27299) conducted by Pastor David Wooten. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the church. A dinner will follow the service at the church.
