Patience Angaleana Irene Joaquim-Cox, 42 of Salisbury, NC, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital Greensboro, NC, from a long illness with double bacterial Pneumonia and Pulmonary Fibrosis. Patience was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Miguel (Michael) Joaquim and Wanda Jacobs Joaquim Rogers.
Patience was educated in the Salisbury-Rowan School system. She was employed in the manufacturing and textiles industries.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Wayne Cox, father Miguel (Michael) Joaquim, her paternal grand-parents Joao and Irene Joaquim, her maternal grand-parents William C. and Evelyn Jacobs, maternal grand-parents Barbara Mulligan and James Metcalf, first cousin Brent E. Jacobs, great-niece Elizabeth Mae Krider and Uncle Joseph Joaquim.
Patience is survived by her husband Gary Brian Cox, Salisbury, NC; daughter Christen Cox, daughter Heaven Joaquim (Shane), Salisbury, NC; daughter Kayce Jenkins (Scott), Harmony, NC; 3 grandchildren, brother John Reynolds (Brandy), Salisbury, NC; Sister Neala Burress (Billy), WV; mother and dad, Chris and Wanda Rogers, Salisbury, NC; 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great nieces, 2 great nephews, 6 uncles, 6 aunties, 35 cousins.
Patience wishes were to be cremated.
There will be a private Life celebration service for Patience for the family and invited guest only at a later date.
