Paul Ashley Henrickson, born on November 21, 1961, in Salisbury, NC, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2024, at Rowan Medical Center, at the age of 62.
Paul is survived by his mother, Peachye Swicegood Kluttz, and stepfather, Michael Kluttz; his daughters, Dr. Erin Cherry (Jason Cherry) of Aldie, VA, Christa Groves (Matt Groves) of Kannapolis, NC, and Allie Pace (Jack Pace) of Lanesborough, MA; his brother, Scott Henrickson (Michelle Henrickson); his half-brother, David Kluttz; his stepbrother, Chance Kluttz (Linda Kluttz); his uncle, Larry Hendrickson; and his beloved granddaughters, Scarlet Cherry, Olivia Groves, and Margo Groves. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Henrickson, in 2006.
Paul faced many challenges in life, including lifelong struggles with mental illness and addiction. He never lost his kindness and generous spirit, and he was always seeking to improve his life. Growing up, his daughters remember his cleverness, thirst for knowledge, love of history and politics, and the smiles and laughter he brought to those around him.
Carolina Cremation assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to support those struggling with addiction and mental health issues.
Scott Henrickson says
I loved and will miss my brother. Keep his daughters in your prayers. My hope is that Paul sometime in his life, trusted Jesus as his savior. Jesus went to Calvary for all mankind where he suffered shed. His blood died, and Rose again. If we believe that and receive Jesus, he will save you and we can all be in heaven one day.

Prayers to the entire family!! My fondest memories with Paul were of going to Topsail Beach (entire family would load up) to go fishing, swimming, putt-putt, and share numerous laughs!! May the Lord bless Paul’s daughters, Mother (Peachye), Scott (Michelle), and his uncle Larry during this difficult time of sorrow. I pray the Lord floods all of you with endless wonderful memories you’ve shared with Paul! God Bless!!
