Elder Phyllis Roberta Carr-Pullen, 67, of Cleveland, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home.
She was born October 19, 1950 in Rowan County, NC to the late John Franklin Carr Jr. and Kathleen Roberta Miller. Elder Phyllis attended R.A. Clement and later West Rowan High School. While in school, she was a varsity cheerleader and played the clarinet in the marching band. Elder Phyllis completed her nursing degree at Rowan Cabarrus Community College and retired from the Bill Hefner VA Medical Center, where she worked as an LPN. She was very proudly ordained as a Ruling Elder for Allen Temple Presbyterian Church on June 21, 2018.
In addition to her parents, Elder Phyllis was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angel Marie Imes; and brother, Harold Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband, Lance Pullen; daughter, Eulanda Carr-Imes (Aaron) of Salisbury; sister, Jacqueline Carr Steele (Thomas) of New Jersey; 2 grandsons, Damien Cowan and Jarrell Imes; great-grandson, Davis; great-granddaughters, Anaya and Peyton Cowan; niece, Mia Flora; nephews, Dion Miller, Danny Miller, Corey Flora, Darius Flora; and cherished friends, Junior Imes, Paula Waiters, and Carolyn Williams.
There will be a memorial service held at 11:30am on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at Allen Temple Presbyterian Church, 313 E. Main St. Cleveland, NC 27013, with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Allen Temple Presbyterian Church or to a cancer organization of your choice.
