Reggie Lee Coley, 67, of Albemarle, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Reggie was born on August 14, 1946, in Stanly County, to the late Walter Lee Coley and Ruby Speights Coley.
Reggie was a proud veteran of the Army National Guard. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his grandson, who he spoiled at every possible moment.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Michelle Coley and Michael Coley, both of Albemarle and their mother, Ellen; sisters, Carolyn Huneycutt and husband Tommie of Youngsville, Sandra Lowder and husband Richard and Rita “Susie” Sikes and husband Jeff, all of Albemarle; grandson and “bestest friend” Brice Coley; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Reggie’s life and homecoming at a Memorial Service on Friday, March 28, 2014, at 3 P.M. at Main St. United Methodist Church, 1100 W. Main St., Albemarle, with the Rev. Fred Carpenter and the Rev. Joe Smith officiating. At all other times, the family will be at the home of Sandra Lowder, 20232 N.C. Highway 138, Albemarle.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Bethany Woods Nursing Center who cared for and befriended Reggie while he was a resident there.

To Reggies family…he talked of you often, especially Brice. his grandson was the light of his life. Reggie was such a wonderful person and a wonderful friend to me. He truly touched my life and I will never forget him. I know its hard to let him go but God called him and Reggie had to go. You will see him again one day. Until then thank God everyday that you had him as a father, a grandfather and a friend as I will. I will pray for you as I did for Reggie in his last days. May God continue to bless you.

I’m sorry about the loss of Reggie. May God be with you. I’ll remember the family in my prayers. I worked years with Reggie and several family members at Jefferies and American Fiber. Your family has always meant a lot to me.
