Richard James Nicoll, 76, of Winston Salem, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at W. G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.
He was born February 24, 1949 in Fort Totton, NY to the late Albert Nicoll and Shirley Clarke Nicoll. Richard proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, walks and spending time with his pets.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by sister, Lorraine Shea.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Nicoll; daughter, Virginia Nicoll; sons, Richard J. Nicoll Jr., Brian Nicoll, and Kevin Nicoll; 5 grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Fleury.
There will be a memorial service held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, June 25th, 2025 at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Organization at www.alz.org; or to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars at www.vfw.org.
