Robert Wayne Myers, 73, of Salisbury, NC passed away on November 14, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
Born April 17, 1945 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Kathryn Brown Myers and stepfather Lewis C. Myers. Robert graduated from Boyden High School in 1964 and worked as a supply manger for many years with Cone Mills and then with Dakota Mills and employed with HBD Industries. He was also a member of Coburn Methodist Church of Salisbury.
Robert loved working in his yard with his flowers, fishing at the coast and relaxing at his pool. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren and his many cats. Robert loved his wild birds and kept them fed daily.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Robert Scott Myers; step-brothers, Tony Myers and Cody Myers.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 53 and half years, Valerie Chillcott Myers; beloved son, Ashley Wayne Myers (Larissa) of Salisbury; grandson, Chandler Wayne Myers of the home; granddaughter, Shelby Ann Myers of the home; brother, Richard “Mike” Myers (Linda) of Salisbury.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Valarie, so sorry to hear about Robert, have known him since the eighth grade at Knox and not too long ago I would see him shopping at the Food Lion on Jake Alex Blvd. regularly and we had some good conversations. My thoughts and prayers are with you and other family.
