Rodney Shaine Thompson, 37, of Salisbury, NC passed away on Sunday May 4, 2014. Rodney was born on January 10, 1977 in Mercer County, West Virginia to Mrs. Robin Ward Jennings and the late Patrick R. Thompson.
Rodney worked as a Lead Technician at Bekaert Textiles in Winston-Salem, NC. He enjoyed martial arts, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Macie Ellen White Thompson.
In addition to his mother, Rodney is survived by his wife of 18 years, who he married on August 22, 1995, Heather Shawn Thompson; a son, Ethyn Shaine Thompson of Salisbury; a daughter, Emily Fayth Thompson of Salisbury; a mother-in-law, Noleta Harris of Salisbury; a brother, Justin Alan Burton of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Ceres Baptist Church, (3747 Maple Acres Rd., Bluefield WV, 24701) conducted by Pastor Eddie Mabe.

Shaine will NEVER be forgotten and to so many that knew and loved him he will long live on inside of each of them….he was an amazing man and just a great person… I am very lucky to have called him my friend..
