Roger Lee Carson, 73, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Liberty Lane Hospice House.
He was born May 6, 1945 in Lodi, OH to the late Clayton Carson and Mildred Hackett Carson. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later worked as a computer technician. In his spare time he enjoyed watching college football and basketball, especially Ohio State University.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his son, David “Sean” Carson; and step-son, Gabrielle Musick.
Roger is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kathleen Zona Carson; daughter in law, Tammi; step-daughters, Janelle and Hollie (Brad); grandchildren, Jessica (Brian), Kirstie, Evan, Nick, William, and Crystal; sister, Betty (Lynn); brothers, David (Sue) and Paul (Susan); and beloved pet, Lady.
There will be a memorial service held at 3PM, Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury, NC 28144.

I’m sorry for your loss. I am one of Roger’s cousins from Ohio. I remember him as we were growing up, having fun at family reunions and other family functions.

Sorry for your loss. Cousin Roger was 6 days older then me, never let me forget it. Always had fun with him at family get togethers.

My condolences to Paul, Betty and David. I remember visiting cousin Roger in Oakland when Sean was just a toddler I think. Roger was a great host and lots of fun.
