Ronald William “Ron” Cassese, 79, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025.
Born on May 21, 1946, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Ron lived a full and generous life centered around family, hard work, and simple joys.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda; his children, Cheryl Gregory (Toby), Derek Cassese (Jaime); step-son, Brian Ambuehl (Staci); and grandchildren, Abigail Ambuehl, Maxwell Ambuehl, Trillion Cassese, and Coleson Cassese.
Ron and his wife, Brenda, shared 33 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and shared interests. A proud father and grandfather, Ron found his greatest happiness in being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He cherished every family gathering, always at the heart of each celebration with his warm smile and easygoing nature. He found his greatest joy watching their children grow and build their own lives and families.
Professionally, Ron was a dedicated and hardworking man, rising to VP of Sales for VF Corporation, and ultimately achieving the position of Regional Vice President of Sales at Fisher Investments. His leadership, integrity, and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Yet, beyond the office, Ron’s greatest accomplishments were found with his family.
Ron’s many passions were a reflection of his zest for life. He loved a good game of backgammon or cards, a day out on the golf course, or time spent on the water fishing. He taught Cheryl and Derek boating and fishing at a young age, mostly on their summer vacations; core memories that they will always hold close to their heart. Music was another lasting love, and he played the piano for many years. When he was younger, he enjoyed cooking, grilling and entertaining, especially when it meant bringing everyone together.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence, generosity, and laughter will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 2pm-4pm for family, friends, and neighbors at the Cassese home.
“Memories are timeless treasures of the heart.”
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Cassese home. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.
