Shirley Ann Thompson Donahue, 70, of Concord, passed away on Thursday December 22, 2011 at The Tucker Hospice House of Kannapolis. Shirley was born on May 12, 1941 in Concord, a daughter of the late Coy Price and Odell Auton Thompson. She attended Harrisburg School and was a CNA, most recently working for Pathways In Home Care. Shirley was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Concord. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children, Parker Berry, Deanna Lynn Tomlin, David Keith Donahue, Darrel Paul Donahue, and Darin Michael Donahue. Brothers, Wayne Thompson and wife Marion, Lloyd Thompson and wife Myrtle, Coy Thompson and wife Jean and James Thompson and wife Paulette. Sisters, Rachael Graves and Evelyn Reece. Grandchildren, Caren, Jessica, Bryan, Christopher, Torri, Chad, Brannigan, Brendan, Ryan, Casey and Cameron; and 4 great grandchildren.
Services: A Memorial Service celebrating Shirley’s life will be held on Tuesday December 27 at 7:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Roger Bostic, Pastor.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Tucker Hospice House 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis N.C. 28081.
