Stanley Shafer Hamilton, age 62, passed away June 21, at Novant Rowan Health where he lost his battle with COPD.
Born to the late Ervin and Barbara Hamilton June 30, 1962 in Bourne Massachusetts. He graduated from Salisbury High School. Stanley worked in residential and commercial construction as a carpenter. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, canoeing, hiking, and camping. He was an avid gardener and a wonderful cook.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Diane Adams Hamilton; his son, Luke Hamilton; sister, Donna Fisher; and brothers, Leslie Hamilton and Harold Payne.
Stanley was saved by grace in his trust of the Lord Jesus Christ. His favorite verse in the King
James Bible was Romans 1:16.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
There is a hole in our heats and a void in our lives but we know he is with God and we will see him again.
A celebration of life will be held in the Fall at an outdoor venue.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Hamilton family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.

Diane, so sorry for the death of Stanley. I will always remember his cooking. Jim still remembers and talks about the “big boy”who cooked in Barbara’s backyard. He faught a much tougher battlle, moving the two seater from my living room. I am sure he fault even harder to overcome his sickness. Jim and I will never forget him. Our prayers are with you during this time.
Love, Jim and Norma
