Suzanne “Suzie” Helen Stover, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and friend, passed away peacefully on 6/28/2025 at the age of 82.
Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, she was the cherished daughter of Charles Dolan and Helen Coates. A proud graduate of Flint Central High School, Suzie radiated a zest for life from the very beginning.
As a young girl, she was bursting with talent and personality . She performed as a ventriloquist with Herman, danced and sang, even made a few records. Her passion and charm took her all the way to New York City, where she appeared on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour.
As a young mom, she gave her all—leading Brownie troops, Indian Guides, Cub Scouts, serving as a homeroom mother, and making every childhood moment feel special. She had a magical touch when it came to holidays and celebrations, especially Halloween, when she made the very best Halloween costumes. Family camping trips were a treasured tradition, filled with laughter, campfires, and lasting memories.
Her professional life was a reflection of her charisma and confidence. She built a successful career in real estate at a time when it was largely a man’s world, often the only woman on her sales team. She rose through the ranks to become Director of Sales in retirement communities, where her warmth and people skills made a lasting impact.
After retiring, she continued to give back by volunteering at Christian cooperative ministries in their food pantry, staying connected to her community. She loved people deeply, she lit up every room she walked into, and laughter seemed to follow her wherever she went.
She loved to travel, had a flair for decorating, and always surrounded herself with beautiful things. She enjoyed shopping, discovering new restaurants, and loved to dance. Suzie was a people person to her core. She was classy, proud, and just the right amount of sassy. She will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but for the way she made life feel full of joy, beauty, and connection. Her spirit was radiant, her presence unforgettable, and her love enduring.
She is survived by son, Billy Stover (Kimi) of Clarkston, Mi; daughters, Robin Stover of Mesa, AZ & Jill Stover of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Danny Brown, Kaleigh Torrisi (Albert), Autumn Ward (Steve), Jordan Stover; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gracelyn, Emerson, Harper & Spencer; Sister Jeanne Brown( Wayne); nieces, Pam McClain, Lori Craig and Nephew Greg Brown. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held summer 2026. Details to be announced.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Stover family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.
