Sylvia “Jane” Pinkston Mills, 77, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

She was born March 1, 1943 to the late Kenneth Pinkston and Helen Byrd Pinkston. Jane retired from Carolina Oncology Associates in Salisbury and was an active member of The Arbor United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be truly missed.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by daughter, Cathy Louise Mills; son, Dennis Dale Mills; brothers, Mike Pinkston, Wayne Pinkston, Walter Pinkston; and sisters, Carolyn Tallant and Mary Brown.

Jane is survived by her husband, Montie Lee Mills; daughter, Robin Mills of Salisbury; granddaughters, Kayla Mills and Brittany Mills; great-grandsons, Evan and Logan; and sister-in-law, Eileen Pinkson of New York.

There will be a graveside service held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2pm at The Arbor United Methodist Church. The family requests that masks be worn throughout the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Arbor United Methodist Church – Cancer Fund, 5545 Woodleaf Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.

    my love to my Pinkston/Mills family – Miss you all so much — Thank you for including my name with the rest of the family – please don’t forget us and hope we meet again soon.
