Thomas Bruce Boatright, 87, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday June 8, 2015 at his home in Salisbury. He was born on May 9, 1928 in Union County, NC to the late Otto Garland Boatright and Clyde Byrum Boatright. Mr. Boatright proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Thomas retired from Rexum Paper Company where he ran a Printing Press. He played softball in many different leagues and was on a bowling team as well. He enjoyed deer hunting, watching the Atlanta Braves, and going to Nascar races. Thomas also traveled to races selling programs and loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Cole.
Thomas is survived by three daughters, Betty Kistler and husband Tim Haney of Salisbury, Rebecca Cole and husband Steve of Concord, and Janice Thompson and husband Louie of Catawba County, NC; a son, Tommy Boatright and wife Bridget of Monroe; a sister, Margaret Rushing of Monroe; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday June 21, 2015 from 11:00 to 3:00 PM at Ellis Park in Salisbury, NC.
