She was born June 3, 1960 in Cleveland, OH to the late Ray Dempsey and Brenda Faylin Dempsey. Virginia was a Christian and a member of the Church of God Church for most of her life. She had many jobs in her lifetime she worked as a Civil Engineer at Greentree, Telecoms at Pro Air, Librarian at the County of Welch and for Progressive Insurance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Blevins; mother, Brenda Dempsey; father, Ray Dempsey; brother, Paul Dempsey, and aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Virginia is survived by her sons, Adam and Daniel Blevins; daughter-in-law, Sylvia and Erin; respectively, brother, Jimmie Dempsey; grandson, Shane Blevins and a great-granddaughter. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews and her dear aunt, Judy Francisco.

A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Bradshaw Church of God in Bradshaw, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Bradshaw Church of God.
