She was born June 3, 1960 in Cleveland, OH to the late Ray Dempsey and Brenda Faylin Dempsey. Virginia was a Christian and a member of the Church of God Church for most of her life. She had many jobs in her lifetime she worked as a Civil Engineer at Greentree, Telecoms at Pro Air, Librarian at the County of Welch and for Progressive Insurance.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Blevins; mother, Brenda Dempsey; father, Ray Dempsey; brother, Paul Dempsey, and aunts, uncles, and grandparents.Virginia is survived by her sons, Adam and Daniel Blevins; daughter-in-law, Sylvia and Erin; respectively, brother, Jimmie Dempsey; grandson, Shane Blevins and a great-granddaughter. She will also be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews and her dear aunt, Judy Francisco.
A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Bradshaw Church of God in Bradshaw, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Bradshaw Church of God.

Virginia I’m gonna miss you so much. I remember all the good times I had growing up with your boys and going to your house all the time. If heaven had a phone, I will call you all the time. Virginia was definitely one of a kind. Her and Danny helped everybody and was always there when people needed them. Mama and Pop both raised her right. Adam And Daniel, I’m so sorry for your loss. We may have lost her But having gained another, Angel! She was taken way too soon from us. I wasn’t ready for this and I know her boys wasn’t either. None of us was!
