William H. Middleton Jr. “Bill”, 82 of Salisbury, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday September 30, 2021 after a brief illness. Bill was born to William H. Middleton Sr. and Myrtle Gowie Jennings Middleton on August 18, 1939 in Bridgeton, NJ. He was a retired Sheriff’s Deputy of Tippah County Mississippi and a member of Whittentown Baptist Church of Ripley, MS.

Throughout his life Bill was an avid member and volunteer with various organizations to include the Jaycees, Ducks Unlimited and Boy Scouts of America. He kept his love for the Big Top Circus alive through his passion of model building and memorabilia collecting. Bill also enjoyed hobbies of furniture restoration and taught many friends and family members the lost art of chair caning.

Bill is survived by his children; Tami (Rick) Page of Salisbury, NC, Billy (Francine) Middleton of Salisbury, NC, Traci Middleton-Dabbs (Gray) of China Grove, Terie (Scott) Schunck of Saline, MI , Heather (Jim) Wickert of New Albany, MS, Glenn Glidewell II of Ripley, MS. Eleven grandchildren; Mandi Ross, Rick Donaldson (Melody Hudson), Lauren (Brandon) Freeman, Daniel (Savannah) Donaldson, Niki (Jimmy) Jones, Rene (Rob) Meadows, Seairra Middleton, Jordon Coleman, Trevor (Danielle) Schunck, Alissa Schunck (Brad McCaslin), Evan Schunck, Kayleigh Buntin (Austin Lewis) and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Middleton was predeceased by his wife Fredda Huddleston Middleton of Ripley, MS and granddaughter Ashleigh Buntin of New Albany, MS.

Arrangements are being made by Carolina Cremation. In lieu of flowers condolences can be made to the family. A private memorial and burial will be held at a later date.
