William Louis Story, 79, of Lexington, passed away on Sunday May 22, 2016 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington surrounded by family. Mr. Story was born on March 31, 1937 in Davidson County to the late Lloyd Story and Virginia Snider Story.
Louis was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church where he sang in the church choir, He worked as an Insurance Salesman and Sales Associate at Wal-Mart. He was a member of Lexington Men of Song and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his dogs, Trixie and Bo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Louise Pruitt Story and Dorothy Fuller Story, also a sister, Jean Morrow.
Louis is survived by a daughter, Monica Whitman and Husband Jimmy of Lexington; two sons, Terry Story and wife Sue of Southmont, Danny Story and wife Chris of Atlanta, GA; twin sister, Louise Coleman of Lexington, and sister Gail McBride of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and beloved friend Jeannie Byerly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Second Presbyterian Church (200 Cotton Grove Rd., Lexington, NC 27292) by Rev. Brian Rummage. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 PM prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Terry Story.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hinkle Hospice House 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC, 27292 or Second Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1334, Lexington, NC 27293.

My deepest sympathies go out to the entire family. Louis was a sweet man and a cat bird just like his twin Louise; loved him dearly. He will be missed.
