Willie Tugman Nail, 85, of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday November 4, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Nail was born on January 3, 1929 in Watauga County to the late Ralph Waldo Tugman and Marguerite Norris Tugman.
Willie was a graduate of the Asheville Business College and worked as a Manager for various retail stores throughout her life. She was a member of Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ in Lexington and was very active in the church. She loved Square Dance and was a founding member of the Square Naders in Lexington. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Franklin Nail.
Willie is survived by a son, Steve Lewis of Lexington; a daughter, Linda Louise Lewis of Lexington; five grandchildren, Michael Lewis and wife Dorothy of Lexington, Joel Lewis of Lexington, Josh Lewis and wife Christy of Lexington, Jeffrey Wilson and wife Carrie Anne of Illinois, and William Wilson and wife JoAnn of Lexington; and 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great gradchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ(2791 West Center Street Ext., Lexington NC, 27295) conducted by Rev. Aaron Long and Rev. Jimmy Norred. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paul’s Chapel United Church of Christ.
