Wilma Ann Bean Shives, 55, of Concord, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.
She was born September 9, 1964 in Troy, NC to the late Jerry Bean and Joyce Tucker Bean. Wilma worked as a Cosmetologist for over 22 years. She was a woman very strong in her faith and was a devoted member of The Rock Christian Church of Concord. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending all of her time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her grandparents and brother, Larry “Bobo” Callicut.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 32 years, James Darrell Shives Sr.; children, Jerry Smith (Jaime) of Concord; Lacey Russell (Justin) of Harrisburg; Michael Smith (Natalie) of Concord; James Shives Jr. (Tiffany) of Concord; Gabby Barker (Josh) of Kannapolis; 13 grandchildren, Alecx Hough, James Michael Smith II, Landon Smith, Ryleigh Smith, Mackenzy Shives, Lenox Russell, Marley Barker, Macie Smith, Lawson Russell, Harper Shives, Scout Smith, Wilson Barker, and Hazel Grace Barker; sisters, Wanda LoBianco (Bob) of Salisbury; Joy High of Concord; nephew, Joseph Smith; nieces, Crystal Smith, Brittany High, and Kealey High; sister-in-laws, Donna Agner, Dianne Motley, and Dawn Cain and their families.
Due to the mandate from Governor Cooper as of March 14, 2020, the services for Mrs. Shives will be postponed for the time being. We will post the new service date and time as soon as arrangements are made.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Rock Christian Church of Concord, 1005 Warren C Coleman Blvd, Concord, NC 28025.
